Kennet Barrow

Kennet Barrow is a burial chamber about 100 meters long whose construction is estimated to have begun circa 3600 BCE, about 400 years before Stonehenge. Based on remains found, archaeologists have determined that at one stage around 50 people were buried here during a short period of time, ranging from infants to elderly. It is estimated that the place was in use for over 1000 years. The site is under the stewardship of English Heritage.
